Offered on behalf of the Wood collection is this special 18" Sonneberg Bru-faced Belton-type child. Not only does she have a gorgeous face, but she is dressed in a fine antique ensemble.
Her bisque socket head is perfect without damage or restoration and is incised with the size number "11." It features a pale complexion with bulbous spiral threaded blue PPW eyes, feathered brows, mauve shadowing on the lids, and an open closed mouth with space between the lips and what appears to be the hint of painted upper teeth. This particular model was sculpted to resemble the Circle Dot Bru Bebe. Small surface flake at ear hole.
Her original wood and composition body with straight wrists is in very good condition with some paint flaking and an old touch up on leg joints. All fingers and toes present and nicely strung.
She wears a beautiful antique dress, cotton undies, knitted socks, antique shoes, an antique mohair wig and an antique straw hat. The hat has a small chunk of straw missing from its brim.
A very fine example of a German Bru ready to jump into a cabinet!
