Mid twentieth century design was filled with color and eccentricity in virtually every area and domain of life. Domestic and functional items were no exception. From Italy of the early 1960s comes this fun salt and pepper shaker set. The mod, colorful stripe motif provides a delightful decorative accent for the mid-century table. The shape, a tapering cylinder with a raised ring near the top and a sloping contoured bottom, makes for an easy, comfortable hand hold – very practical. High fire ceramic bodies are substantial (each shaker weighs 7 ounces), sturdy and in excellent condition; gloss enamel glazes are vibrant. Each shaker has a nice tight plug and bears its original “Made in Italy” foil sticker. Dimensions: 3 ½ inches tall by 2 ¾ inches diameter at widest point.
