Seattle Seahawk Steve Largent is arguably one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history, Largent was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995, his first year of eligibility. In 1999, he was ranked number 46 on The Sporting News list of the 100 Greatest Football Players, the only Seahawk to make the list. His #80 was retired in 1992; Largent is the first Seahawk player to be so honored.
This package was distributed in limited quantities for Largent's final game December 23, 1989. It contains: 12/23/89 Game Day program (opponent Washington Redskins) and full two-team roster placard; Seahawk's issued "Steve Largent Day" game preview and data sheet; Seahawk's issued New Player Biographical Sketches; a color 8 1/2 by 11 action photo (with in-print autograph); the day's issue of the Seattle Times (in its entirety); NFL issued waterless tattoos; Oroweat's 1989 Largent sports card in hard sleeve; Seahawk's team glossy pocket portfolio. More on this fabulous career: When Largent retired, he held all major NFL receiving records, including: most receptions in a career (819), most receiving yards in a career (13,089), and most touchdown receptions (100). He was also in possession of a then-record streak of 177 consecutive regular-season games with a reception. He also holds the distinction as the first receiver in NFL history to achieve 100 touchdown receptions in his career.
