Letter opener in the style of a sword or long dagger. The highly ornate handle reads in relief "Blackwell-Lund Riverside & Loomis -- WASH.--" on one side and "GENERAL INSURANCE" on the reverse side of the handle. The metal is chromed steel and has a very nice age patina; approximately ten inches long. Obtained from Portland OR estate of former insurance agency partner. Dates likely to 1930s. Condition is excellent showing only modest wear and no damage or restoration.
