This nifty vintage spear head derives from the Northwoods of Wisconsin. It's an artifact from the "old school" of fishing for the likes of Muskie and Walleye and Northern Pike. Made of hand forged heavy gauge iron. Dimensions: almost 9 inches long overall; about 4 1/2 inches across at the point tips; one inch diameter where the shaft would be inserted (that tapered throat is about 3 3/4 inches long). Note hole in the contoured sleeve for securing the shaft). Condition is fully intact (strong welds and sturdy tines) and functional, although well used (as expected). the barbs on the tines are holding good, sharp points. We find no marks.
More photos gladly and questions always welcome.
