Muschi Googly Pair of Dolls. Information on these dolls is in “The History and Art of Googlies”. According to the Ciesliks “Book of German Doll Marks” these Muschi dolls were made in 1928 Germany and registered to Martha Lehmann of Dresden. They are both 19 inches all original with cloth mask faces with the googly eyes held in a metal case you can see triangle-shaped brads holding the eye cases to the mask. The heads are attached by wire bars to the bodies, they had cotton stringy hair, felt clothing on the boy and cotton dress on the girl, with felt trim. Both dolls have socks with felt shoes sewn to the legs. The dolls are in beautiful condition, brightly colored with no fading.
