Antique Daguerreotype of a well dressed and very handsome young man with mustache & short beard. He is identified by the handwritten note found inside the leather case as, "Wm. B. Lourie -- F.C. B's half brother". The antique photograph dates to the mid 19th Century with the photography studio/gallery location is Philadelphia as noted on the handsome wide gold lining of the Daguerreotype (W. L. Germon (?), 10 CHEST PHILA (for Chestnut Street, Philadelphia). The Leather case has an ornate embossed design (case now in two parts). And, floral motif on the interior red velvet lining. Measures 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" excluding frame. As shown here though note some reflections of the room were unavoidable while being rephotographed.
