Tremendous pair of large antique Victorian Gold Cufflinks with a Hunting Motif. The Cufflinks are 14K Gold and date to the late 19th Century (circa: 1890). Designed inside each round Cufflink is a fantastic Hunting Motif, depicting a Stag and Hunting Horn, with the Stag leaping through the center of the horn. Both Horn and Stag in high relief. The gold is a rich, warm yellow gold. Are quite large and perfectly round, measuring 1" in diameter. Substantial weight and exceptionally fine. The antique 14K Gold Cufflinks weigh approximately 14.1 pennyweights (which is equal to 22.1 grams). The backs had been changed at some time in the last century to Wing backs, which allow them to accommodate modern shirts (marked 14K). Are a fine and unusual pair of Victorian Hunting Cufflinks and are in beautiful, fine condition. The Cufflinks were assayed to determine their carat at 14K. Best to view thumbnail enlargements.
