Rare and exceptional signed and registered vintage Gypsy Ring set with a large cabochon Cats Eye and set in a massive 14K Yellow Gold mounting. The Cats Eye Gypsy Ring dates to the early 20th Century, circa: 1930. The vintage Gypsy style Ring is set with a large, rare cabochon Chrysoberyl Cat's Eye (of approximately 3 carats). Cat's Eye Stones are rather rare. The appraisal notes the Cat's Eye Stone is large and greenish / brown in color and slightly off center. Originally a man's ring, with a ring size is approximately 6 1/2. Marked inside the band: 14K, JEC & Co., P3675, with an inscription: 1938 W.R.R. x Mc. A. R. To note: JEC & Co. (J. E. Caldwell & Co.) at the time, was one of the finest companies; selling only the finest jewelry and silver and whose reputation was on a par with Tiffany and Cartier. The Ring is fine condition. The Ring shows well in the photographs and more brilliant in person. Was photographed with and without a camera flash.
