Beautifully engraved and shaped, antique Victorian Sterling Silver Serving Spoon, dating to circa: 1870, with beautiful engraved designs typical of the period that are engraved into the handle and the bowl. The Victorian Sterling Server is marked on the reverse side: Sterling and Bailey, Banks & Biddle (the company who either made the spoon or who it was originally sold through). The ornate antique Sterling Server is a generous size, measuring 9 1/4" long! Script 'ELY' on the tip of the handle (possibly the Ely family, an early prominant Philadelphia family). The Spoon is in very fine condition and shows well in the photos and prettiest and more detailed in person! Note the antique Server is picking up bright and dark reflection of the room while being photographed.
