Late Victorian Diamond studded Sunburst Brooch / Pendant of 14K Gold open-work design. This piece is of exceptional quality and rarely seen, this piece is signed and registered. The antique Diamond Brooch / Diamond Pendant dates to the late 19th Century, circa: 1890. The Diamonds are spectacular and with magnificent sparkle----there are seven prong mounted Diamonds, having a total approximate weight of 55 points. The diameter of the piece is 1 1/8". Like many fine pieces of this period, it was designed to be versatile and can also be worn as a Pendant or a Brooch. It would make a spectacular Diamond Sunburst Pendant and look equally as stunning on a jacket lapel. On the reverse of the Diamond and Gold Sunburst, the loop at the top allows a chain would pass through, thus allowing it to be worn as a Pendant. The piece is signed in the reverse on the loop: S.K & S, plus the registry numbers. It is also marked 14K on a nearby Sunburst (shown in the detail photo and best seen in person under magnification). It is in fine condition and even more stunning in person. The large antique Sunburst Pendant / Brooch was photographed with and without a camera flash to best show the quality and sparkle of the Diamonds and the overall design of the piece. This is a lovely, lovely piece.
