Gorgeous! Ornate antique Sterling Silver Dish / Serving Tray made by J.E. Caldwell & Co. (Philadelphia), dating to the late 19th Century. The antique Serving Dish is semi-oval with a fantastic open-work 'Dresden' border. Note the two handles worked into the border design. The face of the Tray has an ornate engraved pattern throughout the piece and a fancy script monogram in the center, which is possibly CKL (???) - monogram too ornate to make out for sure. The antique Sterling Serving Dish measures 9" c 9 1/2" and stands 1 3/8" high and is quite heavy in weight, weighing approximately 17 ounces. Marked on the reverse: J.E. Caldwell, Sterling (see photo detail). Also with a Presentation date of 1907. Is in very fine condition and even prettier in person. Very fine and substantial piece.
