Beautiful and fine set of 3 antique Bright Cut American Coin Silver Spoons made by John David, Philadelphia, dating to circa: 1790. The Spoons have a rubbed design on the reverse of their bowls and a fancy monogram (too elaborate to define). The 18th Century American Silver Spoons measure 10" long (Tablespoons), with a total approximate weight of 7 ounces. The Spoons are hallmarked on their reverses (see detail photos of the hallmark). Are in fine condition and show well in the photos and even more detailed in person. Photographs taken with and without a camera flash (note the spoons are picking up reflections of the room while being photographed, including our white beamed ceiling). Of interest: Silver by the highly regarded Colonial Silversmith John David, is on permanent display at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
