Wonderful pair of vintage replica ancient Roman Greecian Coin Earrings! The Greecian Roman Coon Earrings have Sterling Silver screwbacks for non pierced ears. The Coins are incredibly well made vintage / antique replicas of ancient coins. They are continental solid silver. Both Silver coins have very good heft. Many replicas are flimsy and lightweight. The detailing is wonderful on each side. The silver coins vary but were made into Earrings as a pair sometime in the early 20th Century. Each depicts a profile of a Greecian Roman emporeror warrior head. On their reverses each depict a horse motif. A chariot driven by horses and a horse with wings (Pegasus perhaps). The coins measure approximately 5/8” in diameter. As noted, are not identical but were made into Earrings in the early twentieth century. We are not specialized in ancient coins butcher have come across authenticity ones over the years. These replicas are very convincing. The vintage Earrings have non-pierced Screwbacks that’s tighten well. Each are marked Sterling. They have a very lovely soft aged patina that is a perfect compliment to the patina of the replica ancient coins. Under magnification are normal minor expected surface scratches and wear. The Earrings are very striking but and classic. They could easily be converted to pierced by a jeweler if desired. They’d look incredible on and off the ear and show well in the photos and even nicer in person! Feel great in the hand. The photos were taken with and without a camera flash.
