Exceptional late 19th Century (Victorian) Diamond Bar Pin (antique Diamond Brooch). The Brooch measures 2" long and 3/8" at it widest. Set in the center of a finely made 14K Gold open-work Bar Pin, is a spectacular Diamond with tremendous sparkle and brilliance. The appraisal notes: (approximate) 76 point, Old European Cut Diamond with a GIA Color H and GIA Clarity VS1. The Diamond is of exceptional quality; with a water-like, with tremendous brilliance and sparkle. The scale of the stone is well matched to the mounting. It weighs approximately 2.8 grams. The late Victorian Diamond Bar Pin is marked 14K on the the clasp (this was made during the transition period when jewelry was beginning to be marked by carat. The antique Diamond Brooch is in fine condition and shows well in the photographs and even prettier and more detailed in person. The photographs were taken with and without a camera flash.
