Stunning, large antique Austrian Amphora Vase with raised Vines and Berries and Berry Leaves; the handles of the Vase are designed into the pieces as thick vines. The Berries most likely are Strawberries and their leaves decorate the Vase with remarkable detail and color. The overall color of the Vase is a mottled beige with touches of red, green and gold. The Vase has an organic quality to it, from it's mouth opening to it's body form. The mouth and handles of the Vase are Gold and touches of Gold within parts of the decoration. The Vase is marked on the bottom. Please see photograph showing the a close-up of the bottom of the Vase. This is a very fine example of 19th Century Austrian Amphora Pottery. The Vase is a good size, measuring 12 1/2" tall. It is marked on the bottom (see photographs). Note the small green felt circles were added by the previous owner to prevent table scratching. The antique Austrian Amphora Berry Vase dates to circa: 1900 and is in wonderful condition. Is a truly and fine and remarkable piece.
