Mid- Nineteenth Century ~Very fine pair of Gothic influenced American Rococo parlor/hall chairs. Elegant tall pierce carved backs in a solid black walnut with a graceful hand carved ROSES on the crest of the chairs and wonderful carved faces on each side of the back of the chairs. The front legs have a wonderful graceful curving and original brass casters. The rear legs are simple and curve slightly. Cleaned and re-polished. Upholstery is in good condition. They are approximately 45 1/2" tall at the tip of the crest x 18" wide x 18" deep with a seat height of 18 1/4" . Price is for the pair. These are in great condition with only a very small tip of a leave carving missing (as shown in the pictures).
