This model of the Ansonia Royal Bonn is called La Plata. It is 13" high, and 14" wide. It has the very desirable open escapement movement which is in perfect running order. The case is perfect with no cracks, chips or repairs, and it does not even have the crazing which is so common in these old porcelain clocks. The outer dial has a hairline near the winding hole between the 7 and 8, which certainly is not uncommon for original dials on these 1881 clocks. The painting is superb and very crisply done. It varies from light green and yellow at the top to blue, green, and then a darker green at the bottom. The flowers are well painted iris' in shades of red, blue, yellow, rust, and purple. Notice the great lion head at the top of the case and the two faces on the front feet. The clock is properly signed on the movement and on the dials, and the beveled glass is perfect. It is a very well painted and maintained clock in near perfect condition.
