Very fine and rare old 1893 chromolithograph from the watercolor painting collection "The World's Fair in Water Colors" by C. Graham. The Great World Fair of 1892-1893, The Columbian Exposition. The painting featured is "The Silver Statue, Montana Exhibit." The image is in excellent condition, the sheet has some wear and the slightest discoloration. There is minor wear to the edges and corners of the sheet. Full Sheet Dimensions: 8-7/8" x 11-7/8". "The Silver Statue, Montana Building - Set apart for the products of Mines and Mining, the building by that name became, at the opening of the Exposition, quite conspicuous as the abiding place of the Silver Statue of Montana. The sketch bu Mr. Graham is a very careful and serious study of the subject, and enjoys the distinction of being the only painting of the Statue made. The Statue was modeled by R. H. Park, of Chicago, the famous American actress, Miss Ada Rehan, posing as model. The Statue was cast in Chicago, $100,000.00 of silver bullion being used in its composition."
