This is a very uniquely carved wood totem that appears to be Maori. The eyes on the totem appear to be mother of pearl, maybe Abalone. The totem appears with superimposed features and has a pierced hole through the lower portion, where it appears a dowel may have been present. This piece is in very nice condition with some wear and age; there appear to be dings in two places on the backside. Base Dimensions: 1-7/8" x 2-3/4". Height: 10-1/4".
