This is a Native American woven basket lid that has been nicely crafted with natural materials. The outer edge of the circle is accented with a red twisting detail while the inner circle appears to be a sun design woven with purple material. The top of the piece is roughly finished with some strands that are slightly loose; however the bottom is nicely completed with no loose strands. The center of the structure appears to twist together from two directions. The piece features imperfections including open spaces within the woven structure. The piece is in nice condition for its age and appears to be all original. The piece is about 3.75" in diameter.
