This is a very nice coil woven plaque made from dyed and bleached natural Yucca. The plaque has been decorated with a coil woven sun flower motif with superimposed outer edges. The sunflower is arranged from black, golden-yellow, yellow, and red dyed yucca (see photos). The plaque is a typical size with 13 coils outward; the plaque measures 9" in diameter with 1/2" thickness. The top of the plaque is equipped with a simply woven hook for hanging the plaque on the wall. The top side of the basket has a quality finished look with little wear, there are a few strands here and there that have frayed slightly, and one 1" space along the edge has been damaged. The bottom of the basket appears less finished, looks rough, but still has a tightly woven quality. The basket is in very good vintage condition with a little wear, there is only one small area where the strands are damaged (see photos). *Please check back with us as we will continue to post Native American style baskets and other artifacts.
