Mid twentieth century, this figural parrot silverplated nutcracker is whimsical as well as useful. Measuring 6" in length and slightly over 1 1/2" at his top beak section, this parrot opens his beak to crack nuts. Although unmarked, the cracker is a heavy coat of silver over brass and the craftsmanship and detailing of the feathers is masterfully done . What a great gift for the parrot lover or a unique conversation piece around the holidays.
