Striking and massive, this ornate 18K rose and white gold Russian ring features a large Onyx oval overlaid with a diamond encrusted dual flourish and a larger center single cut diamond center. The sides of the ring are also set with small primitive cut diamonds. A size 7.25, the ring is hallmarked on the outside shank with 3 Cyrillic hallmarks, the first looking like a Tzar's head in a square, an oval with gold content and a square with a possible K or makers mark. I have had the ring tested by my jeweler and it tests a strong 18K and weighs about 7.29 pennyweights. The total diamond weight is .75 carat . The top portion of the ring measures slightly under 1 1/2" in length and 1" in width. An outstanding example of early Russian jewelry!
