Although these are being sold together and are from approximately the same time period, 1820s, and in the same style, all four are a little different in design and marking. They do show some pre-glazing manufacturing flaws and 3 have some minor rough spots on the inside rim of the bases, not visible, other than that they are in excellent condition. All four measure approximately 3 1/2" across and 1" tall. They look very similar in design and hallmark to artifacts from shipwrecks on display at the Maritime Archaeology Malaysia exhibition at Muzium Negara, Kuala Lumpur. They were obtained from the estate of a retired military officer who spent most of his career in the Far East.
