This vintage Signed Whiting and Davis purse is one that does not come along often and are nearly impossible to find these days. Its the large sized bag, extra long with two big green faceted glass stones on either side of the bag embellishing the mesh body of the purse. Without the carry chain counted, it is nearly 10 inches long! 4 inches wide.
The original carry chain has faceted green stones, some of which are missing but an easy fix. The clasp is a cabochon blue stone. The clasp snaps shut soundly and the frame is in excellent condition and would look beautiful polished. The enameled body of the bag has enamel wear but no mesh tiles missing and no holes or tears. It appears to have been silver and white enamel. An easy fix would be to remove all the enamel and have a silver jeweled bag or touch up the missing enamel. Of course its a lovely bag as is! The large emerald green glass stones have no chips and the one in front is perfect, the one in the bag has a thin crack but it is completely intact (both sides shown in pics). The bag is tight around the inside frame hinges as it should be and there does not appear to be any mesh tiles missing. This purse when it can be found can be upwards of $1800, Our price reflects condition.
