This is a hand painted chocolate pot with the Limoges/ Haviland mark. This was most likely a blank that was painted and given as a gift. I wonder if it is one of kind. The dainty little flowers with veins of gold are awesome. It is obvious the painter paid close attention to the fine details. The branches are clearly connected from the pot lid down on to the sides of the pot. The pot is 9 inches tall and in mint condition. There are no chips or cracks. There is some rub on the gold on the lid and the handle, but this is just normal use. One can imagine holding the lid with the tip of your finger of your left hand, while holding the handle with your right hand and serving from this lovely pot. Now for the fun stuff. The pot lid seems to be signed by Neta George and the bottom of the pot reads Xmas 1890. The hallmark is H & Co. over an L representing Haviland Limoges.
