A very lovely large retro, circa 1950's, wide framed setting that holds a substantially large rectangular emerald cut medium cognac colored step faceted Smokey Topaz in solid 14K rose gold pin/pendant. The piece can be worn as a pin or if you flip up the very intricate hinged bale it can also be suspended on a bold chain or collar. The stone measures 27mm in length by 22mm in width and is approximately 12mm in depth making its carat weight about 50.0 to 55.0 ct. The bail will accept up to a 4mm wide chain or a collar. The closure on the pin is a plunger type which is in perfect working order. This piece was meticulously hand crafted with workmanship that is seldom seen today. If you want to make a dramatic statement this is the piece to do it with!It is hallmarked, stamped with 14K on the bale in two places, tested, and weighs in at 20.2 grams. It is excellent vintage condition. I have not cleaned the piece so it will need a good polish by a jeweler to bring back its rose glow and sheen. The pendant measures 1-3/8" (35mm) in length by 1.25" in depth (29mm) by just over 1/2" (13/14mm) deep, not counting the pin closure. The pins closure adds 1/8" (3/4mm). Pictured hanging from a chain, however chain is NOT included in purchase.
