I found this nice vintage sterling silver bracelet in Europe. It is very well made and easy to wear. the links at the bottom where it attaches are highly woven but remains subtle and flexible. The top part of the bracelet is reminiscent of horse riding bits or sailing shackles. The closure is a box and tongue which closes with a firm click and comes with an additional safety catch. Bracelet measures 7.5" (19.5cm) when open and 7" (18.5cm) when shut. Links are 3/8" (9mm) wide. It is stamped 925S with the initials C.R. The person I bought this piece from told me piece was from Denmark and that maker was C. (Christian or Christopher?) Rasmussen or Rasmussens. In my research I came across 3 makers from Denmark with the same initials but one stopped producing in 1937. I cannot substantiate the seller's claim as country is not stamped on this piece. It is however a very well made piece dating to the 1970's or 80's. A great stand alone piece or worn with several other bracelets as is the trend of the day.
