Here is an absolutely great old angel skin coral bracelet featuring a large cabochon coral surrounded by smaller coral beads that sit atop a lovely gilt 835 silver filigree frame. The bracelet is comprised of 7 strands of angel skin coral beads that are approximately 3mm with some knotting between. It measures 7.5" long and closes with a box tongue and groove that clicks firmly into place. The coral beads which have been hand shaped and polished differ slightly in shape only adding interest and uniqueness to the piece. Coral colors vary from a soft cream to a pale peach leaning more heavily on the cream color. The cabochon coral is 7/8" ( 22mm) wide. The filigree frame is 1-3/4" (44mm) and sits up on the wrist about 1" (2.5cm) making a big statement on the wrist! The filigree work is intricate and intact. I can find no marks on this piece but it has been tested for sterling and tested for at least 835 silver. The bracelet is in sensational vintage condition. The setting has no damage or repairs and the safety clasp works perfectly. The main coral cabochon is in mint condition as is the filigree. It is in uncommonly super condition for an old coral bracelets. Some gilt loss on the tongue and under body of the filigree frame. This piece probably dates to the early turn of the twentieth century and possibly originated in Italy or China.
