A lovely Austro Hungarian 835 silver and garnet draping necklace which was probably fabricated just after the turn of the 20th century. The focal piece is ornately fabricated. Dropping form three dangling chains it rests on the chest and frames five bezel set garnet stones. Hanging from this focal piece are three silver drops each holding a garnet stone. The stones are bezel set, the largest central stone is approximately 8mm in diameter and the smaller ones are approx. 3mm each. The piece is in excellent antique condition with no damage to the stones and no repairs. Piece has not been clean and has a nice patina build up. Necklace is 16.5"in length and the drop is 2-3/4". The widest part of the pendant is 1.75" wide. The spring clasp opens and shuts securely. Piece is hallmarked on the clasp and and the back of the central pendant. A truly unique period piece. These pieces are getting harder and harder to come by.
