This interesting Art Deco vase is made from plated silver with a green marbled or "malachite" looking bakelite base. Found at an estate sale, I was told that it could have been Manning Bowman piece. However, upon further research I believe it to be a French Art Deco piece from the 1930's. As vase is not hallmarked I cannot verify its authenticity but I have seen one other example. Whether Bowman Manning or French in origin, it is a wonderful and rare Art Deco vase that is in excellent vintage condition. Some minor surface scratches typical of a vintage piece this age. No dent, dings or repairs. No silver loss. Vase is 10-5/8" tall and top opening is 4" wide. Bakelite base 3.5" tall.
