Jalil Majul Ballesteros for "Los Ballesteros" established his company in Iguala, Mexico in 1937, and then moved to Taxco in 1941. He became a large manufacturer and retailer of sought after silver pieces. This is a nice example, of a circa 1950's or early 60's sterling silver and amethyst bracelet by the Taller. A concave sterling silver bangle bracelet set with three large oval shaped faceted and prong set amethysts. This bracelet had a safety chain which is no longer there but the tongue and box closure shuts with a firm click. Bracelet is best suited for a small wrist, it measures just shy of 2.5" across by 2-25" tall and is 5/6" wide at its widest point. Aside from the safety chain bracelet is in excellent vintage condition. Fully hallmarked with the eagle stamp.
