An original painting of four musician playing music and two lady's listening. It is colorful and beautiful. Excellent proportion, depth, movement, details... Victorian period style clothes just gorgeous. The music room also decorated in the Victorian style: the settee, stools, screen-divider with painted flowers on it, mirror, paintings on the walls, console table with items on a marble top, all just so detailed... The sitting ladies also enjoy the musicians, you can see the mandolin on the floor by the settee...just lovely...The painting is covered with the rectangular convex glass. Around the painting there is 0.25" gold metal frame and 1.5" peach color velvet, that has some rubbing in the center under painting, please see the photos.
CONDITION: The painting is in excellent condition, signed "Roberto" on the right corner and it is 5.25"L x 3.5"W. The gesso frame is 10.5"L x 8.5"W x 1.25"D and has some hairline cracks on the gilded corners, also the top left corner of the frame is missing three small pieces, size approximately 1/4" to 5/8" and somebody re-hammered the nail on the back of the painting, that holds the hook to mount the painting and the tip of the nail came through the front of the frame and now you see the tip of the nail (see photo). Otherwise the frame is in good condition. The glass covering the painting is perfect, with no chips,cracks or scratches. We take the painting out of the frame to make sure that the glass is good and painting is watercolor and painted on celluloid sheet.
