A beautiful and very charming clock ca.1890. The case on this clock showing a patinated bronze figure of a child with two flutes at his lips. The top of the clock has a pair of fire gilded bronze love birds. The eight day bell chime movement signed "J-S" and chimes on the hour and half hour with a nice resonant sound. It has been cleaned, oiled, adjusted and runs perfect.
Condition: Overall very good original condition, good porcelain dial, convex beveled glass front door, gilded hands, fire gilding on mounts and just a few hardly noticeable tiny nicks on the top edge of the white marble. There is a small piece of gilded scroll decoration missing on the right side of the base.
