We are pleased to offer for your buying consideration a RARE ANTIQUE ENGLISH HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN SUGAR SHAKER/MUFFINEER!
Whether you are a collector of antique porcelain accessory items, or just admire the fabulous BIRD MOTIF of this colorful shaker, you will LOVE this very hard to find piece!
Of very FINE QUALITY porcelain, the shaker is of English origin which we believe to be from the early 1900's, and measures 6" tall with a 2 3/4" base! It features it's original removable silver metal top made of electroplated nickle silver with small holes to dispense powdered sugar, and is marked "E.P.N.S.", "Made in England"! The base is absolutely GORGEOUS; it appears to be entirely HAND PAINTED with a vibrant robins egg blue and kelly green background, featuring two BEAUTIFUL BIRDS perched on a branch on the front, and a sweet little painted RED FLOWER embellishing the back! The piece is marked on the bottom "G.F.B."and "Made in England" in blue ink; our research showed only an early English porcelain maker named "George F. Bowers" with these marks. Other than some paint wear along the bottom rim of the porcelain, this piece is still VIBRANT and will be DISPLAY READY for your collection!
