EXQUISITE Victorian Embroidered Silk Child/Doll's Cape!
We are pleased to offer for your buying consideration an absolutely MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EMBROIDERED SILK/LACE CAPE for your favorite large PAMPERED DOLL!
Circa early 1900's this EXQUISITE cape was originally a child's garment or part of a baby's Christening outfit, but it would be PERFECT on a large antique German or French doll and is one of the most ELABORATE EXAMPLES of it's type we have ever had the pleasure of offering!
This FANCY coat is a wonderful combination of CAPELET and coat, with an attached cape embellished with gorgeous EMBROIDERED LACE! It features many LAVISH DETAILS including original CREAM SILK fabric, abundant RUCHED LACE down the front and around the hem, and exquisite hand fashioned FLORAL EMBROIDERY in yellow and green on the right and left front of the cape!
The coat is approximately 27" long in the back and 24" in the front, with a 12" collar circumference; the cape appeared to have originally been tied in the front with ribbons, but there are just remnants of them still intact. The inside of the cape is lined with WHITE SATIN, and with the exception of some needed ironing, it appears in overall EXCELLENT CONDITION and will DISPLAY BEAUTIFULLY on your doll!
We think this ENCHANTING COAT would fit a variety of larger size dolls, but please take your doll's measurements for an EXACT FIT-------doesn't YOUR favorite ANTIQUE BEBE need to add to her GROWING TROUSSEAU?
This MAGNIFICENT ANTIQUE VICTORIAN EMBROIDERED SILK/LACE CHILD'S CAPE is being offered for the first time on Ruby Lane for your buying consideration------a wonderful and fancy garment for your most PAMPERED BEBE!
Please note that any doll or accessory items used for display are not included in this offering, unless otherwise specified.
