Victorian 10K paste pierced earrings. This pair of antique pierced earrings is not marked but has been jeweler tested for 10K gold. They are crafted to enter through the back of the ear and clasp in the front. This type of closure takes a little time to get used to. It is certainly worth the effort to wear authentic Victorian earrings.
The emerald green paste stones measure 5mm in diameter and are framed with eight 2mm pearl like stones. I know during this era fish scales were used to enhance jewelry as pearls and they could very well be what these are. The stones are set in the shape of a flower which will display just at the edge of the ear lobe. They have an overall measurement of three eighths of an inch in diameter.
The 10K ear wires are about three eighths of an inch wide at the top. These Victorian earrings are best suited to a smaller ear lobe. They are in lovely condition with age appropriate wear. Truly a delightful Victorian treasure that would make a unique accessory for a bride to enhance her green wedding.
