Victorian ormolu enameled aide memoir dance card pendant. Back in the day a lady would have worn an aide memoir on a chatelaine with a pencil and other necessary items to keep the list of her dance invitations in order. This one is nicely preserved with the original celluloid pages in place. They retain their original notations.
The gold gilt as well as the enameling is beautifully done with open work. The enameling has a few chips. It's ornamentation enhances both sides of the piece including the fancy bail. The bail has ample room to insert a sturdy chain. This antique estate jewelry treasure measures two and five eighths of an inch by 1.5''.
