Victorian Aesthetic Period Metal Panels
Victorian Aesthetic Revival Panels. These rectangular repousse panels have a wonderful Aesthetic Revival motif of a water scene and heron. I am not sure what they might have been used for but each is drilled with tiny holes along the edge to secure it. The may have been part of a Victorian door knob hardware or simply attached to a piece of furniture. They could be easily mounted or framed. The metal plaques measure about ten and three eighths by two and seven eighths inches. I am not sure of the metal which is very deep with patina on the front and almost brassy on the back. They are very thin. Lovely condition
