Our Victorian smelling salts bottle dates to the mid to late Victorian era. A very utilitarian item back in the day, It really is remarkable that they survived. This fine example is an eight sided emerald green glass bottle with stopper and silver plate cap. The bottle measures 4'' x 7/8'' with the stopper. There is a small fissure on one of the seams that makes the seam rough. The edge of the stopper is also rough and there is a crack in the cap.
This one hundred plus year old bottle is beautiful and will make a wonderful fascination adorning your dressing table.
