Here we have a fascinating Egyptian Revival 800 Silver Enameled pencil that dates to circa 1920. This was a popular theme of the era as curiosities were intrigued with the opening of King Tuts tomb in 1922 although there were earlier Egyptian Revival pieces that were crafted following discoveries from archaeological digs.
This clever treasure is formed in the shape of a Pharaoh with enameled details and a convenient jump ring that will easily affix to a chain to be worn as a pendant. It measures 2-1/4" x 1/2'' closed but I have not been able to extend it am not sure if it works. Our estate keepsake exhibits age appropriate wear with flecks of enamel missing and a little wear and smoothing to the features. I have
