~ ORIGINAL "ONE-OF-A-KIND" ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED LIMOGES "CHRYSANTHEMUMS" CHARGER PLAQUE CHOP TRAY ~ GORGEOUS LARGE 16" FLORAL ART CHINA PAINTING ~ Circa 1900 ~
Just a Magnificent Porcelain Art Heirloom Treasure ~ A Stunning Large LIMOGES FRANCE Painting on Porcelain ~ This is an Absolutely BREATHTAKING Statement Piece! Both collectors and decorators will find this beauty very desirable and an excellent investment.
This is the most Exquisite and Graceful floral art composition upon a LARGE 16" Antique hand painted Limoges Charger, Fine Art Plaque or Chop Tray. Completely handpainted by an extraordinarily talented late 19th Century Artist. This beauty has been exceptionally painted in gorgeous rich colors including emerald and forest green, serene shades of gentle golden orange and beautiful deep ocean blues, all of which combine a fabulous background setting for the most Breathtaking and Tranquil Bouquet of Chrysanthemums. Delicate stems and leaves are painted with the utmost delicacy creating an utterly breathtaking still life palette. This is a very high quality hand painting upon very old French Porcelain in the naturalistic floral art style so beloved by the Victorians at the Turn of the Century. A Stunning, ONE-OF-A-KIND creation hand painted in the CLASSIC FRENCH ART STYLE.
This particular vintage French china mold is actually called a 'chop plate', and is entirely flat across 90% of its surface (curving up only slightly at the edges) such that it lends itself perfectly to being used as a ROUND TRAY, as well as a magnificent WALL ART PLAQUE hanging. It is Absolutely Stunning and would be beautiful placed under a Jardiniere, a Punch bowl, Tankard, Cider pitcher or Chocolate set.
This beauty is In Excellent to Near Mint condition. I do note for accuracy purposes only just the very slightest rubs to the blue paint at the very edge. Sterling investment quality vintage fine Art-Porcelain, with the century old china painting in pristine condition, beautifully preserved within a lustrous glass overglaze finish. Bears the Jean Pouyat, JP L France, mark 5, underglaze hallmark in green, circa 1891- 1932.
