This is a gorgeous Limoges vase. It is a simple mold from the Bernadaud company, which is gloriously painted with cascades of Roses done in a style very reminiscent of Franz Bischoff. The artist has painted the roses surrounded by their leaves and vines, tumbling all around the body of the vase from top to bottom; side to side. The background colors are soft green teal and amber yellow. The upper rim is accented with raised beading and painted gold on the outside and inside.
The Vase stands 10 1/4" tall and 18 1/2" around. It is a heavy & substantial vase.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The painting is very captivating, the colors are great.
It is marked with Bernardaud mark 1, 1900-1914.
