This is a very lovely, large Belleek Trumpet Vase that is signed by the artist in very tiny letters, so it's very hard to read. The artist has painted this is a delicate and artful manner with the Roses clustered at the bottom and the upper portion. The Roses are accented with their leaves and stems - on stem going quite a ways down the vase with a downward hanging rose & bud at the end. There is also gold outlined scroll work to further add to the beauty of this Vase. The ruffled rim has a nice gold border and gold is added around the raised portions of the mold design at the bottom. This is very tastefully and artfully decorated. American Belleek is my all time favorite porcelain; the weight and sheen is unmatched by the European harder paste porcelain. This Vase has a lovely sheen to it and it is truly (for it's size), light as a feather. It is a wonderful, gorgeous mold; very prettily painted.
The Vase stands 15 1/2" tall and has a base of 5 1/4" in diameter.
It is in outstanding condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It is beautiful and clean as a whistle.
It is marked with Willets Belleek mark 3, 1880-1904.
