This is such a lovely Limoges Tray. It is one of the rarer molds to find - I have only seen one or two others with this shape. It is a wonderful shape with overlapping ruffled rims to give it a sweet, feminine look. The artist has painted gorgeous, multi-layered petals on the Pink Roses as they drift gracefully across the surface of the Tray. The Roses almost fill the Tray with their beauty. This is very well painted with a very appealing look to it with the flowers, thick stems, opening and unopened buds and clusters of leaves. It is a beautiful Tray on a gorgeous, hard to find mold.
The Tray measures 11 3/4" long and about 8 1/8" wide.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines and virtually no wear. It looks to have been very well taken care of.
It is marked with the Laviolette mark 1896-1905.
