This beautiful Limoges vase is completely hand painted, signed by the artist - M. Frees and dated 1902. The artist has painted lovely pink and one burgundy roses across the front and back of this beauty, lushly adding handsome leaves to accent the flowers. The roses drift from side to side and reach towards the bottom of the vase. This is an excellent, very old mold with terrific ornate handles that are richly painted in gold. The upper rim and base have a nice band of gold as well. The background colors are mainly blue with a touch of green in places, soft yellow and pale blush rose. They are perfectly in tune with the colors of the flowers.
The vase stands 8 1/2" tall.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It has been very well taken care of; besides the tiniest of rubbing of gold on the tips of the handles, there is almost no wear at all.
It is marked with Gerard, Dufraisseix and Morel mark 2. 1902.
