This is a beautifully painted Bavarian vase on a highly desirable mold. This exact mold is the same as the ones the Limoges factories produced. The artist has painted rich and strongly colored deep burgundy and pink roses with their handsome leaves and vines. The cover the whole front of the vase from top to bottom and is accented on the back. The painting on this vase reminds me very much of another vase I have that was painted by the Nevins studios. The scalloped rim is painted in gold as are those wonderfully attractive twisted handles.
The vase stands a tad over 10" tall. The base measures 4 3/8" in diameter.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. The painting is excellent and highly appealing; the colors are very strong.
It is marked Bavaria - early 1900's.
