This beauty has been part of my slip glaze vase collection for many years. It is tall - 13 1/2", and beautifully decorated with a Thistle and it's leaves. The Thistle looks vibrant against the chocolate brown glaze. This is a very handsome mold with a bulbous bottom and a very long neck.
The vase measures 13 1/2" tall.
It seems to be in very good condition - I don't see any chips or cracks, but there is some wear to the glaze along one side of the neck, as shown in the pictures. It is a very good example of fine slip decoration.
It is unmarked, most likely Owens, Weller or Roseville Pottery. Early 1900's.
