This is a superb T&V Limoges Tankard that is beautifully and dramatically painted with excellent purple, green & red grapes. The grapes cascade from top to bottom and swirl all around the body of the tankard. The base is shown with the leaves painted green with gold accents and the handle is quite delightful; featuring a grape vine twining from bottom to top of the handle and a leaf sticking up. The artist has painted the grapes in bunches, featuring their natural huge, fat leaves and sturdy vines. This is quite a spectacular beauty and would take center stage in any porcelain or tankard collection.
The tank stands an impressive 15 1/4" tall.
It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines.
It is marked with Tressemann & Vogt mark 5a, 1892-1907.
